Nice catches! Love the pics. I need to make it up to the Susky sometime.

Where did you launch - or is that a "secret"?

So what do you mean about it not being friendly?

It's a narrow path down to the water with large rocks/boulders right at the water. I'm guessing he was just talking about the terrain.

I wish they would make that path nicer. That's my usual put in/take out. It stinks, especially with a 80+# yak.

                    Nice job Corey.
I spent 7 hours out there last weekend and only managed 8 dink smallies and a cat.

its really just a hiking trail along the state park, so you cant pull right up to the water. its probably 30-50yards from the parking lot to the water and i dont have a cart, plus once your at the water, its all rocky and slippery...i still do it all the time alone and with another its not bad at all

Thank you for describing what sounds like a kind of inconvenient launching area.. It doesn't sound like a landing I would want to drag my kayak through. Might even have the evil three leafed plant on the path!

id suggest checking out the lapidum boat ramp at the bottom of the park(small fee to launch), or the fishermans park at the dam, both are decent ramps, the dam one can get a bit slippery and you better be cautious of the vultures, they painted my green truck white and ive seen windshield wipers get destroyed by them

I've heard about those vultures. I was launching at the dam one day and a lady was asking me about if the vultures had ever eaten the trim around my windshield. I thought she was a bit loony, then someone else mentioned it.
