Dave, I live about 6 miles from Jugs Bay and go there often. Catch some nice size catfish and perch from there. Plus, it is a lovely place to be. Wayson's Corner is not far either. Let me know if you ever want hook up on the water after work or on the weekends. Are you in Deale? I've been wanting to launch there too.

Congratulations and welcome to the Native Watercraft family. If you have not already done so, I recommend checking out the Native Owner's Group website at http://www.nativeownersgroup.com/forum.php. They have a separate forum for each model of Native kayaks.

Fishing close to structure/shore, having reverse would be sweet. I can go shallower without pulling the fins though.

Wind blowing u in the dock or.tree your fishing.. or the grass bed.. hook a fish your going right into your spot.. it's hard fighting a fish and having to pull the paddle out to save your self from getting your rods buzzed by tree limbs

Where's your rudder? Is it removable?

                            Cowpokey,

Yes it is with one screw. It was recommended to me to remove it when taking the boat off the truck with just one person. So I did.

I dont want to F it up but I have ordered a spare rudder, prop and shear pin. One shear pin came with the boat for the propel unit.

I wish the rudder on my Outback was easily detachable. I worry about it with my knuckle-dragging way of loading up on top of the Jeep.
