  • Finished Trailer

Just want to share my "new" mode of transportation I'll be using this season. Since I sold my old truck back in January I had figure out how to transport my Ride in a small corolla. I scored an used jet ski trailer on craigslist and had it modified to convert it into a kayak trailer. Check it out.

      Thanks Chex,

The trailer weights 500 pounds, and the kayak is sitting in the basement (wife is mad as hell). I'm waiting for the saddles to arrive before I put it up.

No sure, I will have to contact them before hitting the road. I'm sure some will charge, you know everybody is out there to get our $$

Nice setup. I just picked up a trailer myself to covert but I went a different route. The one I got is actually a 4x8 flatbed snowmobile trailer. Still trying to figure out how I'm going to lay it out.

                  Thanks Rattler,

Before I started working on it I did a google for kayak trailers and went through the "Images" section and saw a whole bunch of pictures with all kinds of trailer setups. You will find good ideas for that type of trailer. Good luck!

I am looking at picking up a free trailer like yours this weekend. Where did you come up with the bolt on uprights and cross bar?
