    Thanks for the insight. Is there a app/program to set points on the computer and transfer them to the chip? I have a Mac if that matters.

      Yes, though I have never tried. It requires an additional cable...and downloading some navionics software that comes with the chip

        So you have to connect the FF to the computer? That would present a challenge, does the "additional" cable connect power also?

          Not sure, I don't have much interest in connecting the ff to the computer. I usually just name/delete waypoints on the fly while fishing or during my clean up process

                  The FishNChips I got a couple years ago even shows grass beds. Great for trolling along their edges, in the flats for example.
