    The hardware store in Cherrydale has something very similar Mike. I got some and used them on my spinning rods last year but ended up switching to velcro and SS keyrings. I didn't like the rubber piece under my hand when I was fishing. I put a velcro piece down, then zip tie with key ring under, then another velcro strip. Doesn't slide and the under piece should keep rust damage and scratching to a minimum. I put it on the blank just above the handle...

      thanks capt. C did you see the new rocket launchers they have?

      redfish12 doesn't that get in the way when using the reel? i put mine on the bottom of the reel seat and another velcro strip on the bottom of the handle to keep it out of the way

        i used some of those aluminum caibeaners and they corroded enough where they wouldnt clamp shut. i since moved to stainless steel and have had no problems

          No problems with line getting caught on it or in the way of my hands if that's what you mean? I use paracord with brass snaps when they are in the rod holders.
