  • Use this instead of Google Maps

    http://atlas.freshlogicstudios.com/

    Guys,
I figured I'd pass along another tool that I've been using to scope out fishing spots. A lot of people use google maps to look for good spots to launch or fish, but I found another site that is much better. Atlas Fresh Logic Studios has a "birds eye view" feature which gives a really detailed isometric view of whatever location you want. You can also rotate the image so you can see it from all sides. Go ahead, do what everyone does first and see what your house looks like and what cars (kayaks) are parked there :-)

Another good tool along with Google Earth.

What are those black squares that appear on the satellite images? How do you get rid of them?

          thanks!

I think your screen needs to refresh. I think because of the detail, there's a lot of information getting streamed and it may hang up for a few seconds.

Looks like it's just a different user interface for Microsoft Bing maps. http://www.bing.com/maps/

I agree, I was looking at one of my spots and I didn't recognize it due to all the road construction! I wonder what database these came from before bing got them?

The bird's eye view images are actually taken by aircraft.
