  • First time fishing the Severn 7/27

Launched from Jonas Green around 6:30am and trolled a little bit with no bites. Went to the green and white buoy to the right of the launch area and anchored inbetween buoy and a dock, set two light action rods out with blood worms and started pulling in Crocker and spot. Forgot my knife in the truck to cut bait so paddled back to truck for knife, went out under bridge where I caught a Crocker and a small black drum. Went back to my orignal spot set out rods again and set a rod up with cut bait. I had one good hit on cut bait but no hook set and when pulled in rod bait was shreeded, so I live lined a small spot I caught but no more hits. Caught over 40 fish but nothing big a bunch of 10-11 inch Crocker, but had a lot of fun and will be going back there again, hopefully get a keeper rock

Sounds like a pretty good day! The rock are here but have been a little difficult this week. Keep trying and you'll get into them.
