My buddy got this one I think two years ago. By far the largest one I've seen in the back bay. I think it was just a tick under 11#.

Thanks guys... it was definitely a great day for me! Biggest flounder I've ever caught by far AND I have my career 2nd citation!! My favorite part was getting heckled by the captain(Who I didn't know that's who it was at the time) on how I'm gonna lose the fish if I didn't stop pumping my rod...
So I hooked up with it and at first I though it was a ray because of the way it felt it was just stuck to the bottom, I mean this boy was pulling hard. And since I was using my Lexa HS, it wasn't gonna be possible for me to just crank down on the fish, and I wasn't gonna break it trying to, so I had to pump it up slowly to get it up. We were in about 90 feet of water. Mind you this was not fast pumping just a slow tug. So I hear this guy next to me:

Him: You better stop pumping that rod like that or you're gonna lose the fish.
Me: *A glance over to Metroman* (Still doing my pumpin')
Him: You're gonna tear a hole in that fish's mouth and lose it if you don't stop pumping that rod!
Me: grrrr (Still doing my pumpin')
Him: You're gonna be mad when you lose that fish.
Me: Or I'm gonna land it while pumping it! *LANDS FISH*

Then he turns from heckling to the biggest cheerleader on the boat! LOL It was hilarious!!! The trip was really fun, if anyone is interested they have a Groupon running right now for basically buy one get one free: http://www.groupon.com/deals/fisherman-s-wharf-1

This comes out to less than $50 for an 8 hour trip!! The mates were really cool and one even gave respect to the Lexa crew!! (Me and Metroman) LOL We're gonna try to stock up on a couple of the coupons ourselves. They don't expire til the Fall.

Great fish, and nice tip on the Groupon deal too. And one of the best eating fish out of the ocean or Bay you can catch! Very easy to fillet too. I hope you are having it for dinner right now, if not yesterday!
