  • St. Clements Island 10/05/12

Jim Doyle and I fished St. Clements Island, Maryland ( Lower Potomac). Relatively slow. Jim had a 24” rock, I had couple specs to 19” , a dozen reds to 17”, and the typical bunch of dinks. Had high expectations for Heron Bar, but it yielded nothing more than dinks. Weather was beyond perfect.

Very nice. I'll take one of your slow days any time. Was there a favored lure?

We fished from mid morning on and off until after 5:00. Fished the island a number of times in the past and the bite was consistently better that’s why yesterday was relative. Really didn’t matter though, with weather like that if all we had to show for the day was a snagged bunker we’d be fine with it.

Jim was pitching a plug, I was using Gulp 4” swimming mullet. (White)
