I'd be interested to try casting the mag'd version vs the non mag. I am working on a static mag for mine because that sucker is hard to cast from a seated position on the kayak.

There is a fuji seat that you can get for it so that you don't need the clamp. It allows the reel to be used on Fuji trigger grips like that St Croix Muskie rod you have. Makes a nice combo.

If you have the clamp... you don't have it. The clamp gets in the way on certain styled rods (eg ones with a trigger seat...), not sure what you're going to put it on though.

Is that the used one you mentioned earlier? Is it for surf casting or the yak? I'm still debating on the mag vs non-mag version for shore fishing (and occasional yak). I do pretty well with my SLOSH and Saltist surf reels, both mechanical, so I'm not sure how much advantage a magged SX will have over the SX.

                Got a pic?

Yes ..... the 1 mentioned ......... for the Yak. Will use it more for livelining, bottom fishing and trolling. Not sure I'd like the lever drag for casting lures all day ......... could be wrong though .....

Yeah, nice reel. Here's a good read from a guy who tested it, specifically the Magic Cast feature: http://www.pierandsurf.com/fishing-f...6-4-Test-Drive
