  • Outback floor

After my first trip in my Outback in 2008 I decided to make a floor to keep my feet out of the water that fills in around the Mirage Drive. I used 1/4" LEXAN since I have plenty in my shop to play with.

As you can see in the photo the LEXAN sit just above the water line on the sides. It is very nice when water temps drop.

thats a pretty good idea, does it keep stuff from gathering around the drive?

It does help. There is still a gap around the drive but it is only about 1/2" wide. I lay my anchor line on it and have no problem with it.

Gives the fish a nice platform to flop around on too. Is there enough room to lay a hawg trough down on?
