Mark, you are a smarter angler than me. I have been sitting and casting more and more as the water cools, but I can't always resist the urge to stand.

As for lines, I often over line my rods. I throw a 9wt WF floater on my 7 wt rod when the fish aren't spooky. When the water is low and clear, I will try to avoid this as the splash from the larger line can spook many fish. I find the overlining allows me to throw big, articulated flies with ease without having to use heavy rods. There seem to be many opinions on pver-lining, but I have found it works for me. (I also do not do so with trout fishing)

    Gregg,

Not at all smarter...I just want to stay dry.

Over-lining is a good choice too. There are numerous solutions to most fishing issues.
