  • 9/23 Ft Smallwood

Had a chance to get out this morning and decided to give Ft. Smallwood a try. Launched around 7am and headed toward the white rocks, trolled a bucktail and paddle tail on the way with no takers. Ended up bottom fishing near the rocks for a bit and caught a bunch of spot, perch and a few undersized croakers. Fish were caught on night crawlers. My buddy had double hookups on spot multiple times.

Decided to head back to the launch and troll the paddle tail. As I got closer to the launch, the rod went down and it was a 22" rockfish It was caught in about 8 ft of water. Fun morning to be on the water!
