    I have 90ah battery 30lb thrust bass pro prowler motor,controlled by cheap chinese pwm.Last Saturday I ran over 13 miles was on the water trolling over 6 hrs,my battery still had 61% left at end of day

        Definitely a benifit,I fish in current a lot and actually stop my kayak as if I would have anchored with the verible speed control.Also battery last much longer

            My battery is standard deep cycle VERY heavy,defiantly not as efficient as other options

              Yep at first I bought an 86ah AGM after about 6 uses the weight was a real problem for me so I made a change. Where you putting yours on your yak? on my 13.5 in the back behind the seat I would get about 4" of water in the back well even with plugs in. In the front hatch it would nose the crap out of my Lure. I still have that battery collecting dust. I haven't been successful trying to sell it...lol

                Battery is right behind my seat,surprisingly I don't get much water in there at all in choppy conditions a very little,seems to ride fairly level?

                  My motor is mounted in sonar pod along with depth finder battery,maybe that's why I don't get much water in rear hatch
