Well, this mornings low pressure system did not disappoint!

I launched to a nasty looking sky, occasional down pours, and winds/gusts up to 30mph out if the west at 5:15 this morning. I was keeping track of the radar since 4:00am and hoped the storm would pass while I was out there and it did. The sun finally bless me with it's presence and then fishing turned on.

I trolled along every shoreline dropoff that has worked for me in the past with my usual 1oz bucktail/paddletail combos. I trolled both lures deep because the only keeper I caught last outing was a result of this.

Every area that I worked today held keeper fish. I had double hook ups, a CNR hook up, and tangles from single hook ups all morning due to the heavy winds but I was willing to deal with it, for the amount of action I was experiencing.

All in all, I landed 23 fish, 5 of which were keepers between 21"-24-1/2". I came home limited with twin 23" fish and an awesome cardio workout.

Wow, nice catching in challenging conditions!
Should we nickname you " Low Pressure"? And any thoughts on this, would do as well in a kayak?
        Nice job

Top water has been on fire lately! I'll cast a popper at any breakers I see and always catch something, if not a keeper.

                    Thanks!

The down pours weren't too bad as they only lasted around 30 minutes after I launched. The wind, on the other hand, was pretty brutal which made for some nice chop and a tough paddle home but I'm happy I stuck it out.
