  • Spriggs Farm Park Ribbon Cutting for Magothy River Association Water Trail

    Hey all,

Paul Spadaro from the Magothy River Association asked for our help with the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Magothy River Water Trail at Spriggs Farm Park on Monday June 12 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.

It would be wonderful if the sea kayakers, kayak anglers and windsurfers turned out for this event and reinforced support for Spriggs Farm Park being open to the general public. Details are scant but basically there will be a mercifully short ceremony with the MRA, County Executive, Rec & Parks, maybe some other elected officials and the ribbon will be cut. The MRA may bring a sheet cake.

I know many may be working but displays of support like this make it easier to get the next project through all the hoops required to increase access to the bay and surrounding waters.

    Thanks!

            I wish I didn't have a 9-5 job, or else i'd be there.

Picked up a nice 24.5" cat and handful of white perch on the magothy this past weekend

Sounds lie a good excuse to play hookie!

I see that it is a gated park and you will need a combo to get in.
