    Default Hobie foot straps

I can't be the only one who can barely get shoes into the strap. This leaves the ball of my foot pushing on the pedal. I prefer having my foot in there a bit more. Not such a problem in the summer when I wear sandals.
Are there any fixes or bigger straps?

I don't have that problem. My cold water and summer shoes fit into the straps.

However, I believe lots of folks remove the straps. I happen to like them. But I suspect some will suggest here that you do not need them.

Maybe I'll just try taking them off then.

flipped my straps to the underside of the pedals in case I suddenly want to try them. They've been there since 2011.

Finally took mines off this year due to surgery. They worked before with by BIG Sasquatch feet and sandals and neoprene boots. I can't believe how much more comfortable it is without them now. Wish I had done it sooner.

Seems like whenever I remove the straps entirely, I need them the next time I go out for some reason. Instead, I just unclip one side and loop it around on itself so its available if necessary.

I think I tried them once. I honestly don't see the benefit to using them.
