  • Hobie Storage

Okay Hobie owners I have a question, how do you store your Outback?? I know it's suppose to be upside down and either resting on it's rails or hanging. So why do I see them on trailers sitting on PVC runner's?? I asked Hobie and they said upside down and if left on runners it can damage the Outback. But how could it?? Anyway just asking.

I keep my PA on the trailer 100% of the time sitting on the Hobie cradles and have since I got it 3 years ago. They're about 6" wide which may provide enough weight distribution to prevent the chance of a deformity forming in the hull. I'm fortunate to have it in a garage which keeps it somewhat temperature stable.

      Steve6902,

I have stored my Revo in my garage for the past two years deck side up on a rack that has seven 1.25 inch PCV pipes bearing the weight of the hull. The pipes are perpendicular to the hull. I have seen no indentations at any point on the hull.
