    As several others have said, I think that bleeding, gutting, and keeping the fish on ice should meet your objectives for your catch over the 3-4 days.

    I enjoy putting the fillets in a brown sugar brine prior to smoking them. They come out tasting like a candy jerky and if I have enough, I will make a dip out of some of the smoked fish.
