  • Hog trough tether

Recently I have been asked about the tether on my fish measuring stick (hog trough) and why I string my fish to the stick and how I shouldn't do it, in an informative and respectful way which I appreciated. So for those of you wondering, I do NOT string any fish to the stick and if he's too squirmy for a photo op then he won't be getting his picture taken. (which I've never had a problem with)

The tether is there for me to tie off to my board when I bring it out on my trips. Everything gets tethered to my board including myself. It's just easier to disengage it from the other end and leave the tether attached to the stick for safe keeping.
Thanks for the concern and, again, I love that Snaggedline is here to help, not bash!

I tether mine to my kayak also. It's the only thing I carry that I leash.

Mine just doesn't get as much striper slime on it as yours nor are numbers higher than 20 seen as often in my photos as in yours!

It's actually a bungee made from paracord material. Got it off of Amazon in a 3 pack labeled "paddle leash".
