I'll make this one short and sweet.

I got into'em this morning. Brought home 7 fish all ranging from 21"-28". The 28" weighed in at 10lbs. I left a happy man!

Nice going Steve. I also caught a few representatives of the catfish family yesterday, but my catch was far smaller, in skinny water, and closer to home. I found thousands of schooling brown bullheads in 12"-18" of water. I used a jighead and 3" Fat Sam mullet (that lure will catch anything) to bring in five small bullheads over a 15-min period. All of my fish were returned to swim again.

Nice work, John! I catch them in the mid to upper Severn quite frequently when I'm out looking for perch and pickerel. I can't believe they went for such a big bait and a swim bait at that. 🍻👍

Those are the "eaters" I like to catch...the ten pounder is pretty close to my upper limit of a 30 inch fish- anything over 30 goes back in the water...yeah, I know they are invasive and DNR wants them killed, but I have a real problem just killing something I am not going to eat...snakeheads are different- I eat alll of them I catch...

I hear ya, Ron. I cleaned every fish and gave half of the filets away to friends and family. Me and my family had a nice catfish dinner last night and the rest of the filets are sitting in my freezer waiting to be fried.

Thanks, Jim! I'm still on the hunt for the monsters and am still planning on trying out the Wilson Bridge sometime in the future.

I'm jealous! I won't be able to get out on the water for another couple weeks, this weather is such a tease.
