  • Third time was kind of a charm

Launched out of Marshall Hall again this morning. Very slow day but I finally got the skunk off!! It wasn't the monster I was hoping for but this 22" blue cat will taste extra good tonight. Oh, and I will still be on the hunt for the monsters!

Glad you got out there! Sorry I couldn't join you, but your persistence paid off. Nice catch!

Just another day in the sun...

Yes sir! But I would've loved to have traded places with you that day. I just want to hook up to a giant cat. Haha.

                  I'll be back for sure!

How big were the ones you caught that day?

Saturday I had three over 30 inches- one was 18 pounds and the biggest was well in excess of 20- my boga grip goes to 20# and it bottomed it out- figured it to be 38-40 inches...head was roughly 15 inches wide...I posted Iphone pictures on my FB page

Haha!! I keep saying "that day" like it was weeks ago. I guess with my mind on a monster catfish, it just feels that way.

Yeah, Mattawoman Creek- I figured it was my best chance to catch a nice mess of catfish for the table- last year it was my go to spot for 20- 27 inch catfish...Huntrava was laughing about my "bad" luck as we headed to the ramp last evening...

Haha! That's funny because I was laughing at my own "bad" luck on my way back to the launch.
