      Those look like they will work. I use to tie gurglers a lot but I switched back to using poppers. I don't tie my own poppers and it is one of the few flies that I will actually buy. I also don't work much in epoxy because I haven't made the investment to do it.

      Another great late summer pattern is a Letort Hopper. I fish it where you find grass banks that drop off quickly and have current going by them. Hoppers and crickets fall into the water there and they get ambushed by bass. I have caught a lot of smallies this way. I tie my Letort Hopper in a pretty big size too since the hoppers in the late summer get pretty big. Big fly, big fish!
