  • Potomac claims more lives

A 32' boat fishing in a tournament yesterday on the Potomac failed to return to the dock and sent out an emergency transmission late in the day. Apparently the boat had started taking on water. One survivor who climbed on the upside down hull was rescued this morning but two others were found dead and one other person is missing.
No matter how big the boat you still need to be aware of what's going on this time of year. Be safe out there.

I can't believe they went out in that. The lower Potomac is like a bay at some points and it can get nasty during rough weather.

It was sunny and warm in the morning but the weather turned bad fast in the evening

They were calling for 45+mph wind. No one should have gone out in that.
