  • Anyone Missing Orange Wilderness Tarpon 120 Kayak?

Coast Guard reported finding an orange wilderness Tarpon 120 kayak in Weems Creek in Annapolis. Contact command center personnel at 757-398-6390 with information to the owner.

Hopefully someone can get their kayak back!

I saw the same kayak upside down and washed up on the shoreline in Weems yesterday morning as I exited the creek. I returned an hour later and saw two persons in a canoe towing the kayak to a private dock. I don't know what happened to it after that.

Hope the owner of the yak is ok. This is a good reminder to mark your yak with your name and contact information, and an emergency POC just in case the worse case scenario happens.

Looks like it had been in the water upside down for a while.

Maybe it blew off a dock.

One would think any other mishap would have been reported to authorities.

I talked to a Marine Police guy when I was in the Virginia Barrier Islands. He said he rescued a guy who sunk a kayak near mockhorn island, and they found the kayak washed up on the beach in Corolla!
