  • Magothy or Severn?

Going to take a half day tomorrow at work and fish either the Severn or the Magothy. Figured both would have similar chances, but was wondering if anyone recently fished either one, within the past few days. Any advice is appreciated, to make me narrow down my choice, or I would accept another one if it was still within about an hour's drive of owings mills.

There are perch in most of the Severn creeks and tidal ponds -- make sure you fish in shaded spots. You may find an occasional pickerel, pumpkinseed, or striper. I have not been in the Magothy for several months.

Still catching good sized rockfish in the Severn. This pic was from yesterday morning.

Nice fish! The stripers are doing well in the Severn!
