I plan on launching at Hallowing point 9 Benedict bridge ) for an AM kayak fishing this weekend.
Any tips? what's biting there? top lure, bottom jigging, live bait?
I aint got a clue, my son and I are going.

    Thanks for any tips,

I'm headed out to the bridge tonight as long as the weather cooperates. good luck to you.

I did hear of a sewage spill up in Laurel. Not sure when or how that will affect us downstream.

            Bob,
Let me know how it goes,, no real bait store anywhere around,, so I guess it's soft plastics?

Hey slack daddy the liquor store by the dnr headquarters has a few things sometimes. And a good place to launch is by rivers edge to the left of the restaurant is a public little board walk and beach easy parking and your not all up on other people I live right down the street and love the community there extremely laid back

Croaker are in the area as are white perch- popular white perch baits are small crankbaits and spinners as well as small 3 inch swimbaits on 1/8 or 1/4 oz. jigheads- shrimp on double bottom rigs work well, too...

                      Hobie,
I see the little boardwalk, left of the restraint, and parking on the other side of the street,, is it 100% public? or community only ?

                      Thanks,

100% public owned by the state it's a historic site your see the bill boards there bendict use to be a slave trading post back in the 1800s cool place to go also if you launch and go right around to the right side of Benedict there's a old rundown marina not in use a few people fish back there cool little creek also

I've caught a lot of croakers there- usually fish two rods and drift with one oz. bank sinker bouncing the double bottom rig along the bottom- croakers hit like a ton of bricks- no chance not knowing..
