Have any of you visited an Eastern Shore pond recently?

Unicorn, Wye Mills...even Trap in Delaware.

I'm curious about their condition because I'd like to pursue a little freshwater pullage.

Are they covered with algae or are they fishable? I know they tend to slime over in the summer but perhaps our frequent heavy rains are flushing them out nicely.

    Many thanks in advance.

Hit some ponds at idywild saturday water was high and stained but the algae was busted up and was very fishable. Took awhile to figure out a pattern the bass were not aggressive at all you had to drop a lure on their head to get em to bite but manage to catch a few and some nice size pickerall to boot

      Thank you.

The bass can indeed get contrary in this heat.

        Eastern Shore Ponds

Hit Wye Mills 2 weeks ago. Overcast day with rain to start then bright sun. The key that day was lipless cranks and Texas rigged senkos. Also landed a couple on a rage craw, Texas rigged with a pegged weight. Here was my biggest of the day (2.25lb)...

Lay downs and structure was where most of the action was. Hooked a couple cranking in the main channel. 12-15 LMB in total.
