New to the kayak fishing scene, and can't get enough of it!! Looking for some good spots to drop in with little boat traffic, and good fishing. Also, tackle suggestions and any and all tips and tricks are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Go to the FFFF meeting at 6:30 on July 21( 3th Thursday) at the Unitrd Methodist church in downtown Fredericksburg (308 Hanover St) Use the Charlotte St parking lot. The only open door of the church is one of the two off the parking lot.

While our name indicates that we use fly rods, we all have kayaks and use them sometime even when we go to the dark side and use a spinning rod. Ask your question there. You will get all kind of good info. We are a good group.

Falmouth Flats Fly Fishers. Falmouth flats are the Rappahannock River just below the Rt 1 bridge in downtown Fredericksburg. Great fishing in April. OK waters close the rest of the year. Fully accesible. Our home waters.

Occoquan River/Regional Park is a favorite for a lot of us North VA guys. Green Bass/Stripers/Crappie/Snakeheads/Cats can all be found in there. It's also pretty well protected from wind
