Bought a Pompano 120 and a FF to get me started. Lovin' it!

However, I live in Franklin Manor where the fishing is only so-so. I'm wanting to be more mobile. However, if my wife's not around to help get the yak on top of the 4Runner I feel like I'm going to either drop the boat, get a hernia or dent the car getting the thing on and off. You guys have any tips to getting the yak on top of an SUV?

It's not easy - I have the same issue. With practice you'll find something that works but there's plenty of trial and error... and dings on the car. I've learned where the center of gravity is on my yak and am able to haul it up and over my head in one swift motion and dump it on the racks without touching the car (usually...). I have the Swiss cargo racks. Maybe try putting a blanket on your car when loading/unloading to soften the blow of any drops?

I have a lighter yak that I can handle myself, but a couple years ago I bumped into a snaggedliner at Jonas Green and he had a custom cart for his yak that made getting it the top of the car relatively easy. You must might look around on-line or call a specialty stores like Survival Products in Salisbury for advice or a cart itself.

I have the roller rack also, and a this, http://www.austinkayak.com/products/...at-Roller.html
It suctions to the back window of my X-terra and helps to keep the kayak off of the roof of the truck while I shove it onto the rollers. Still a pain but the combination works well.
