I tried google searching without much help.
Is there a cost to get into the park like sandy point?
How is the parking to launching?

I'm sure several others will chime in. There is no cost. There is a gate that opens at 7am and you can park just inside the gate, however you should follow the road down to the beach where there is a small turnaround point and unload your kayak first and then drive back to the gate area (maybe 200-300 yards). You have to get your Kayak through about 25 feet or so of sand to get to the launch from the turnaround point.

Yes you really have to watch the wind forecast because your in the open bay there. Check www.windfinder.com before you go out. Tomorrow looks like it will be better.

You have take those forcast with a grain of salt. I've fished there about a dozen times and the wind speeds and directions are typically off. Generally winds seems to predominantly come out of the east. You can go down to carrs word to take cover on the Rhode river.

I'll have to look into carrs.
I was hoping I could find a keeper rockfish.
Soon as crabs start showing up better I'll be try that too

I live right next to the park, just bought a new cart to walk my rig down. Gonna start getting back after it again after a long layoff. Looking forward to it.

Do you know if you can fish the pond/lake in the park?
I saw it looking at aerial maps

People do, but I dont know how much success they have. To be honest, the tick swarm stories often keep me out of there. Lived here for 8 years, yesterday was the 2nd time we have ever even gone in there. I dont have a good launch spot on my street (community members not so friendly about you crossing their grass) so I plan to use the beach to get into the salt.
