  • PB new species, but what is it?

Don't know if there is a snagged line personal best for this...not sure if it is a clam or mussel...but it is a new species for me...it liked salted chicken liver.

I know the feeling. I caught this oyster on a fly last February in Tampa:

I'm thinking our way would take a very long time to catch a limit....

I believe it is a sea cucumber. I looked them up when I caught a few while clamming at Assateague : http://www.chesapeakebay.net/fieldgu.../sea_cucumbers

Looks like a freshwater mussel. I've caught a few over the years on cut bait as well.

My first time out in a yak I snagged a nice XL blue crab right in the apron. It was a lot of fun getting him unhooked without getting pinched.
