NO FISH ON THE FLATS TODAY! via boat

Today i fished with the guy who introduced to the flats way back in 1995. We launched from Tydings at 2pm- catching the tail end of the incoming tide. We hit all the usual spots, being very mindful of boat noise! Not a single fish! The report at the ramp was the same


We did get to spend 4 hrs remembering life from 20 years ago!

the bite has been off at my spots as well, any idea on the water temperature?

Water temp today was 50-53 with poor clarity. No stripers. Logs and debris. One LMB over 5 pounds. Saw a white perch snagged. We slung soft plastics and cranks. Bait guys and trollers were picking weed all day it looked like.

Walleye Pete's already left the flats. He was up for a few days then left....so don't feel too bad guys.

Colder cloudy muddy water made a tougher bite or have they moved up to spawn?

Capt Walt left last Sunday. He is now enjoying catchin instead of fishin.
