Default Heroes On the Water - 2016 National Conference

The Maryland Chapter has won the bid for hosting the HOW National Conference. Executives and Chapter Leadership from all over the US will be attending the conference scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 22. The conference will be held at the Solomons Island MWR Center & Pax NAS. We are expecting at least 160 attendees. As is customary with HOW National conferences, leadership members who are interested in arriving a day early are invited to go kayak fishing. The Maryland Chapter is considering taking those members to St. Mary's Lake nearby the conference center. We only expect a small portion of the 160 to arrive early.

Can any Snaggedliners give us a run-down on the lake? Pros-Cons to this idea? Seasonal opportunities here? Good? Fair, Excellent? Poor? General experience on the lake?

Anything you have to offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

Wayne - you might want to contact Point Lookout State Park, which manages St. Mary's Lake. They will probably be glad to work out any logistics.
