  • easternshore yellow perch

This coming Tuesday and Wednesday I have off from work.(2/3, 2/4). Since its supposed to be mild I have an itch to go try for some yellow perch.

I've never really targeted them or tried for them this time of year. Any suggestions on where to try?? (Kent Island area)

I wouldn't mind lure suggestions and any other insight??

    Thanks gang.

I saw a Sean Kimbro video a while back where he was fishing an eastern shore river for YP. Think it was the tuckahoe, might be worth googling for details...

Hillsboro, MD. Tuckahoe river. Might be a touch early, but you never know until you go. Someone has to catch the first one. Look online and you'll see a nice public ramp there. Tuckahoe sportsman is a decent tackle shop about 1.5 miles away from the ramp. They usually have minnows and can help you with tackle also. Good luck.

So, on Tuesday, I grabbed a rod and a couple of lures and drove over to Hillsborough and the Tuckahoe. No yellows, but I did catch 4 pickerel. Just from the bank/dock. Pretty place and I'll take the kayak next trip.

Up at the lake or down the creek?...I love fishing that lake (Pickerelville).
