2016 Goals

Well as for fishing....we are all kinda screwed. I guess the experiment is over, so how will we know where to go or what to use?

This years goals for myself
-catch another citation (but record it)
-take at least 1 new person kayak fishing
-weekend kayak camping trip
-attend at least 3 meet and greets
-catch 2 new species (redfish and large bluecat would be my goals)
Soooo if anyone knows some good catfish spots in the spring I'm willing to paddle along and learn!

Just enjoy the sport of kayak fishing no matter what caught on my hook.

Spend less time working

Big rockfish on topwater (30-40+)

sightcast caught bull red

Undertake a trip to kayak, camp, and fish the whole length of the Chesapeake Bay

Figure out how to get more people to treasure and join in conserving and protecting the unique and fragile Chesapeake Bay and its resources

I think its time you three let someone else win. If you win again, I am pretty sure you're gonna need to start claiming that on your taxes.

Now that I don't have a wife expecting a baby girl any day like last year I'm coming for you guys. It likely won't make a bit of difference but I just thought you should know. Haha.

I want the top spot, I've come in 3rd and tie for 2nd, so I want the elusive #1. It should be a fun one this year.

1. Kayak cobia.
2. Do more overnights on ESVA islands.
3. Do a few guided trips through Hobie First Cast to spread the addictiveness of this style of fishing.

You sure you are up for that? haha. ill probably go down to Va to try my luck. Will need more than my medium heavy rod.

i couldve gave you a great spot for blues. we were catching them by the boat loads. rockfish were under the blues but too slow to get the lures compared to the blues

1. Get Married and Honeymoon, finish the house buying process.
2. Win KBF National Championship in Kentucky ($25k, can always dream right)
3. Win MSSA Striper Kayak tournament
4. Finish in the Top 5 Angler of the Year for MAKBF agains some the top guys around the region.
5. Fish CCA Red/Trout and do as many overnight island trout trips as possible.

Lol, oh yeah. Came very close last year in only a few trips. Basically everyone with me landed one, but I just couldn't make it happen. It'll happen this year, but you are right about the rod. Even if you don't catch a cobia, the 4ft shark and giant butterfly rays will keep you busy.

I was down there this summer and it was exciting. we saw a couple of sharks and turtles. I believe i was holding like a tuna grade rod and was still pulling me to the side of the boat. i dont carry that kind of gear on the kayak, but i guess i have to start.

- Configure my Kayak for fishing.
- Spend more time fishing.
- Catch more fish.
- Meet people who like to fish from a kayak.
- Have more fun outdoors.
