[QUOTE=PigPen;122249]I'm looking into better measuring device as well. I haven't done any tourneys yet but this video was pretty informative for a DIY proj.

I've been looking at a few similar to this. I am t going to order the 321fish.com ruler and build my own. It looks like Syn board floats, luckily I've got a few pieces in the shop. Just need to test it first. The few I've seen posted have been pretty big, I would prefer something around 30inches long and maybe 4-6 inches wide.

    Here's a link to one . http://www.jaxkayakfishing.com/phpBB/topic23479.html

I'll try to document the build!(meanwhile am putting the hawg trough on my Christmas List)

    Thanks
    Ed

If anyone is looking to buy a Hawg Trough locally, I can put you in touch with the president of the Severn River Rod and Keg Club. He contacted the manufacturer and had a batch of them made up with the SRRKC logo on the front part of the board. These are the chartreuse ones with length measured in inches. It is likely that in the future anyone entering an SRRKC tournament will need to use a Hawg Trough for measurement (an SRRKC version or otherwise). I believe the cost is $20. He is located in Crownsville.
