looks very nice, wish the Pro anglers came in different colors.

Bet that thing will be a very pretty penny.. close to 3k

I bet so, too. the article didn't speculate too much about price, but I bet it will be up there close to the 3K mark; especially since there will only be 500 produced.

Turbo fins, square center hatch and sailing rudder come with it, the things we've all been asking for as standard equipment. If it's more than $200 over the 2015 MSRP, it's over priced.

                Turbo Fins - $129
                Square Hatch - $110
                Sailing Rudder - $35
Rubber Tackle Web - $20 (for the pair)
Sea Deck Covering - Easily over a hundred

Add in the fact that there are only 500 out there, and I think it easily surpassed the $200 threshold. I think it looks great and would be a great yak for someone who has extra cash to throw around or gets off on having something no one else has. Limited edition items attract their own type of crowd.

those are replacement costs, don't forget what the original parts value is. ST fins, standard rudder and round hatch aren't FREE.

True. Didn't account for that. I think we can all agree it'll be (overly) pricey. I know one thing, It won't be sitting in my garage any time soon. If it is, my wife will have already killed me and the first one of you guys who finds it can have it.

I hope the standard 2016 model will come equipped with a square hatch, I've been holding out for it. I'd buy the special edition if it came pre-rigged to fit a power pole micro.

I'm picking up a 2015 when I get home, sailing rudder is enough for it...might upgrade the center hatch later.

I'd recommend the square hatch. It's the best upgrade I've added to mine. With the PVC rocket launchers (I believe you were the one who posted a thread on how to make them), I have been able to leave my crate at home because I can store my rods vertically behind my seat. I place two tackle boxes in the square hatch and a third under the seat (if I need it). Instead of a crate in the rear deck, I can have a fish bag, cooler, anchor, chum bucket, etc.

Maybe I should get two of the square hatches and upgrade both of my Outbacks. I would be happier with that so Cowkid2 can have easy access to lures and such.
