  • Bay Bridge

Goody and I fished the Bay Bridge today. It was slow and the winds predicted were low. We managed probably 15 pre-schoolies each and 1 keeper each.. Goody went 2 for 4 on CRNs and I went 1 for 2.

Goody's first "keeper" size fish obviously didn't practice safe spawning techniques this past spring and had a pretty nasty rash.. back in he went..

Nice fish, at least one of them. Any specific depth better than the other.

Dave good to see you made it on the forum. Lots of good info and lots of people to fish with. We are launching out of Beverly Triton tomorrow and I read a few people are going out of Matapeke.

I was passing over the bridge that day and I saw you guys. I told my wife, "I think that's Goody." She asked how I knew and I said because I know he launches there and that looks like his yak. I was going to call you to confirm but I see the post now. Nice guys.

The dreaded hall to and from the beach launch. This is about the half way point. I think it's about 1/4 mile to the launch from the parking lot but the ranger seems to think it's 1/2 mile.

It is a long haul, a little short of a 1/2 mile. (.445 of a mile)

Wow I'm glad I didn't launch there I think it might be worth the extra peddling to launch from Matapeake. Is there a cost to launch from here? It's 10.00 for 24 hours to launch from Matapeake.

It's free to launch from there but you do pay with blood and sweat!

Would be nice if we could drive down and unload like Triton.
