  • Chipmans Pond Delaware Tournament

Some footage from the recent Delaware Paddlesports tournament. These are great tournaments, people are low key, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Followed by food! Cost is typically $35. For entry, big bass and food. I compete in tournaments cuz I like to meet people who are clearly addicted to this obsession like I've become.

I enjoy making these videos cuz I enjoy watching them afterwards! And it is flat out fun. I promote them, cuz it takes hours of splicing to put them together, and I like to get the views from people who appreciate them.

I'll talk conditions when I post the tournament footage, but here is my day prior.

Nice video. Looks like a healthy bass population there. Sorry about your rod.

I'd agree. Definitely healthy. Some good sizes were caught on tournament day......truth be told I was less impressed with the performance of that new Johnny Morris Rod. It was also a good deal cuz I realized I could take my other Johnny Morris Rod back with busted micro guides after being informed I should......found myself having $240 in bass pro credit.....and that made Yakie a happy boy...

Ain't caught one yet. Not sure they are in DE....but wouldn't surprise me if they were in some of the rivers, I think the salt keeps them from jumping the Potomac but could be wrong.

Got the video up a week ago, but my Tapatalk was on the fritz for some reason.

Primary patterns: fish ambushing from pads and holding in the deepest part of the lake near the ramp.

            Plenty of vegetation.

I felt the frog was too aggressive and spooked the the fish, so when the slight vibration of a weightless worm dropped in front of them it triggered their attack. I heard jigs around the edges produced fish for the winner.

Worms in various rigging so worked well for me a wacky rigged senko green pumpkin black flake produce good fish for me.

Vegetation near 4ft of water produced the most fish.
