Went out on Memorial Day and hit Brenton Bay to try to get out of the wind. Was joined by Scott who had just got his Outback a couple of days earlier. We trolled along the channel edge and in the main flat with no takers. I switched to gulp and a jig and found willing croaker on the shallow side of the edge in 5 to 8 feet of water. Unfortunately the wind was blowing straight down the bay and it forced us back into the lee near the launch after only an hour or so. Bottom there was mud with no hard bottom that we could find and thus no more croaker. We did see CNR which was not a welcome sight.
