  • Personal choice- Made in the USA

I had a disaster hit last Thursday- cow nose ray took one of my premier outfits with it- St. croix Avid Rod, Diawa 300 Bait caster- 275 yards of 30 # Power Pro braid, Double bucktail/jighead shad body rig...so I decided to replace it- Ardent XS1000 and, of course another St. Croix Avid Rod...another $450 rig...I am a labor union guy so I try whenever possible to support American workers- personal choice on my part- not preaching, just saying...Ardents are made in Missouri, have a bulletproof warrantee, 10 ball bearings...

I will review the reel after I have given it a few hard trips with something I believe will be representation of a torture test

I always look for "Made in America" on everything I buy. Some time it ain't easy to find American made stuff.

I would recommend a rod leash as well. Warranties do not cover (LOST). Good luck

+2 on the rod leash. How did the ray take it?
