  • Event 4 - Mattawoman Creek, MD

This event is always highly attended and a great time, everyone should consider attending. This will be the premier fresh water kayak event of the year. The last two years we've had around 40 anglers, this year we will try to soar past the 50 mark!! The big Stripers will be out of town most likely by then, so the bass and snakeheads should be the hottest ticket in town.

For series details go here - www.makbf.blogspot.com

A portion of the entry fees are collected to benefit the Heroes on the Water - George Washington Chapter

Check In (starts at 6am) and Awards (starts at 3:15) - Slavins Boat Ramp

Allowed Launches: Slavins Boat Ramp, Smallwood State Park, and 225 Bridge

We are looking into setting up a grill and having food for the post fishing/awards/hangout!!

Why not? It's all good fun, and only takes one good fish will win some awesome stuff, we will also have a special prize for the longest non bass species.

Matt runs a great tourney for the area. Work and family duties have curtailed my participation this year but they are fun and you can win a couple ways.

You can pay at the tourney when you show up.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend on mattawoman. If you plan to launch from 225 bridge or Smallwood state park you can pay ahead of time via PayPal, this would allow you the convenience of not having to check in the morning of at slavins boat ramp. To do so send PayPal to makbfseries@gmail.com. $25 entry and $5 big bass, so $30 total. Also select friends and family to avoid a fee and add your phone number in the comment section so I can contact you with the identifier on Friday evening.
