    SOOOOO My oldest wants to be like dad and get himself a kayak he's saved up a ton of allowance and wants to buy one is there one that anyone can reccommend he 12 and loves to fish .

    A tarpon 100/120 and you could have him use it though high school or longer. Just remember to bring your fishing down and chase perch until he has the patience to chase stripers. Nothing turns a kids off faster than being bored.

    Its a bit of a drive from you, but only $400 for a lightly used one.

      I agree with the tarpon. I have a 140 but the 120 should be perfect for him. I know there might be an urge to go with the smaller 100 for a small person, but remember a longer kayak is more efficiet in the water. If you're there to help him tote the longer kayak around, he will not have to work as hard on the water to keep up.
