Best photos of 2014

If you're anything like me, this time of year you probably spend way too much time online looking at lures and gear and thinking about the fishing season ahead. I also find myself spending a good bit of time looking back at the fishing photos from year's past. So this got me to thinking....What is your best photo of the year ? We all take photos of our adventures out on the water. If you had to summarize 2014 with just one photo which one would you pick?

Lets say keep the criteria simple: Just one photo-taken while on your kayak. Could be your best fish, or some of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay scenery, or other subjects that best represent your kayak fishing in 2014.

Not the greatest photo, but my favorite from 2014. My wife on Triadelphia Reservoir. She was fishing with a Bignose spinner that worked great for crappie.

I've posted this before and many of you may have seen it, but this is by far my favorite of the 2014 season. It's not so much the fish that I like (which was pretty cool too), but the candidness of the photo. Gary (Hemminway) snapped the picture at the perfect time; just as I was giving a big thumbs up to some flounder fisherman in a nearby boat.

I'm breaking my own rule of only one photo but I just couldn't resist sharing this one. A couple of other members were here on this day and have the same photo from a different angle. One of those days where the color and water and light were so spectacular that the multiple redfish we caught didn't seem to matter.

I was priveleged to fish a lot of beautiful water in 2014. It was tough picking just one but this photo of a misty morning on a Maine pond might be my favorite. It was so quiet and so peaceful that morning that I was afraid to even breathe.
