Beautiful fish. I just got a 12" bass on a tube bait from shore for my first fish this year. Not picture worty, but it had one of the most pronounced lateral lines I've seen in a long time. Will have to last my memory for a while with the weather change coming.

      Congrats Turtle - nice fish.

Missed a couple pickerel off the pier yesterday with a pointer SP. One hit only, one hit and lost at the pier, one hit and lost very soon after hooking. That's as close as I've gotten this year.

      It's a sickness I tell ya ...

Hey, any bass in our area in January is picture worthy! Well done on your January fish!

Thanks, yes it is a sickness with no cure in sight!
Keep me posted on that Pointer bite, I'm curious to know if that holds up right up to ice over.

So far it has ... combined rising tide and falling barometer appears to be the best time to go.

My creek skims over early so the coming cold snap will likely shut me down.

I'm certain that Dave isn't at Triadelphia or Rocky Gorge.
Nice job Dave. Did it go for your normal jig presentation?
Once I get my new sonar unit up and running, I'll try to get out one Saturday or Sunday soon.

Yes, 3/8th ounce black&blue football jig with a Tiny Paca Craw. I probably had the jig motionless on the bottom for 30 seconds and she picked up it.
Here is a snapshot of the lake bottom from my AquaVu. I think a dark colored jig shows up from quite a distance against that bottom color.
