  • catfish and the bridges around DC

I have a friend that lives at Fort Belvoir and we want to take his boy fishing. The Potomac around DC looks like easy water to fish compared to the bay, especially since its close to them. I've seen some of the photos here of the nice cats people pull out of the bridge footings. Do they keep biting into the winter months? I've fished a powerplant on the Potomac at the VA/MD border in the summer. Would the cats keep up in the warmer water discharged there, like the Rockfish do at Calvert Cliffs?

    Thanks for the advice.

**like the rockfish USED to do at Calvert Cliffs.

And, yes, fish hold at that other mentioned spot through the winter.
