  • Finally a couple of good days

Haven't had much luck this year, trying for rock mostly at the Bay Bridge. Decided to put away the rock fishing gear until it cools down and focus on white perch. Fished the rip rap off of Bay Ridge Tuesday and Thursday using spinners and ultra light tackle. Caught 50+ WP each day. Lots of fun on light tackle. Also one rock around 10" and an elongated flatfish that got off next to the boat. Not sure what it was, but after checking my "Life in the Chesapeake Bay" book, I think it may have been a Blackcheek Tonguefish. Here's what I kept from Thursday's trip.IMGP0441.jpg

LOL. Had to look that one up. Actually, I think it is related to the Back River Lumpfish.
