  • Rocky Gorge - What's your favorite lure?

I've been to Rocky Gorge a few times now and practically had the place to myself this morning. I've been lucky enough most trips to get at least 1 fish and usually start out just before dawn but overall it's been very slow. Wondering what your favorite or "go to" lure is for this place. Pics would be great! Thanks!

Managed to land this with a Texas-rigged 8" pumpkin worm near the bank. My only action despite 8 hours on the reservoir. I think I cycled through everything in my tackle box.

I fish here every single saturday and usually manage about 10-18 fish a trip pending if its a slow bite or not

my go to baits are jigs..

and drop shots out in the middle. i went last saturday and caught 13 and the smallest fish was 15 inches

Awesome Bassmore. At some point you should host a clinic for Snaggedline members to show us some of your successful techniques there.
It would be a great help to folks.

Scott's Cove is where I usually launch from. Looks like Supplee Lane is pretty nice, too.

yeah, Supple is a nice launch, usually not too many people either. Scott's Cove is ok, but the parking is a little bit of a hike.

Ive launched at scotts once and browns bridge once.
You can actually launch on either side of the bridge. Theres a ramp on one side and a creek entrance on the other. The ramp side has a narrow road down to it and you cant turn around. If using a trailer will need to back down. Or unload up top and haul the yak down.

Browns bridge is a nice area but shallow right in that area and was pretty muddy water there when we went but go to the right from the launch and it gets deeper and cleaner pretty quick.
The gorge is a lot narrower in that area too compared to scotts and will provide some good wind protection on windy days.

Heres a link to a video from Browns Bridge area.
