  1. Hi Peggy -

The striper bite in the Severn has turned on over the last week. Weather permitting, I will try a trolling trip in the Severn Mon if you are interested. Today Raptor, On the Fly, and Mark did very well trolling near Jonas Green. I plan to fish there tomorrow and maybe again on Fri if my knees are not too sore from excessive pedaling. Let's keep in touch over the weekend.

Boston Whalers are fun boats. I started many years ago with a 13 ft Whaler and later owned a 17 ft Whaler, among many small boats I have owned. I now run a 16' Scout center console boat -- I won't get it ready for use until late May.

Hi John, FYI, a friend was fishing last Sunday from a place called "the Ranch Club" on the other side of Solomon's island. She landed from the beach a 36 and 38 inch rock. They caught fish all day from this location. She was using a butterfly rig with bloodworms and a 4 oz weight because the current was tough. She had to cast past a sandbar but once over the sandbar caught a mess of stripes. I am going out on Monday. Somewhere. Anywhere where there are fish. Either by kayak or my 15 foot whaler, which is a sound boat. Any chance you are going out on Monday and want company? Or want to join me? I have room for 3 other than me on my boat.
    Regards,
    Peggy

    Hi John,

I live in Annapolis on the east side about five miles from the bay bridge. I'm pretty new to the sport have been out about 8-10 times by myself with some limited luck. I have a 16 foot Santa Cruz RAPTOR which I purchased this summer. I joined the MKF web site a few days back (RAPTOR) and have been watching the email traffic. You seem to be quite an active and successful fisherman who lives close to me. I was wondering if perhaps sometime when you go out I could tag along and get some pointers etc?

    Regards,

    Terry Hill

Hey John, I was wondering if you would mind taking some flyers for our swap meet down with you to the Tri-State Marine show and handing some out to the vendors there and maybe leaving some on your table for shoppers to pickup or maybe if the management allows you to perhaps placing some in a conspicuous place like near the front door. I think that would give us some good coverage down there. If you can't I'll just make a trip down there prior to me leaving early in the morning to go to Harrisburg. It would be a GREAT HELP if you could do that. It would save me alot of time and travel as I have to be in Harrisburg, PA at 9am on that Saturday. If you could, Kindly get back to me when you can let me know. The sooner the better.
    Thank You,
    Tom
